Brenda Bryant

 I have been an artist all of my life, starting when I was 5 or 6. I make my living as a nonprofit management consultant and a writer (professional and consumer products) and am semi-retired (whatever that means).  Over the years I have created using oil, acrylics, water color, plaster and soft sculpture media, wire, wood, and paper.  I have a special fondness for dimensional art — whether it is collage, sculpture, or kinetic art such as mobiles.  Currently, after some years dedicated writing alone, I have returned to kinetic sculpture in the form of mobiles composed of wire and paper constructions.  My favorite form at this time is something I call “character mobiles”, which feature human figures engaged in an activity (juggling, dancing, fishing, playing cards, etc.).  In addition to creating pieces for my own pleasure, I create custom-designed pieces for others.
