    Category: Mural
Cherry Bomb at Henry's Sandwich Station, 540 NW Flagler Ave. Ruben Gerardo Ubiera Gonzalez (born October 19, 1975 in Santo Domingo,Dominican Republic) is a neo-figurative artist, known for his strong use of the line, graffiti inspired technique/esthetic, urban murals, mixed-media pieces and installations, all created with reclaimed-objects and found artifacts. He paints and draws in a style considered as Postgraffism, but he prefers to call it urban-pop, since he has lived most of his life in urban, populated areas and most of his inspiration is derived from the inter activity between man and his urban environment. At the age of 15, his family moved to the Bronx, NY, where he was heavily influenced by the graffiti art that surrounded him, something he wouldn’t realize until much later in his life. Ubiera strives in all his work to capture an essential part of his past, his present and his subjects through the use of the line and form. His work includes still-life and situational portraiture but he tends to primarily focus on depicting his immediate urban surroundings and everyday complex human emotions using a strong and expressive line, a vivid graphic color contrast all while adding a mix of youth-angst and detailed complexity. All this executed on found objects, ALMOST NEVER CANVASES. Ubiera believes that his work has no frames, much like the everyday art that is developing on the streets. WEBSITE > INSTAGRAM >

A mural by Christopher Ian MacFarlane located in the FATVillage™ Arts District, part of Fort Lauderdale's downtown historic warehouse district. Bizarre cartoons are the specialty of Christopher Ian MacFarlane, a self-taught 30-something who works with vibrant color palettes in a rare, playful way. Influenced by Looney Tunes cartoons and cubism a la Picasso, MacFarlane's murals are full of characters who look like they've gone mad, like a wolf riding a trash-can rocket, or a lady with a schoolmarmish hair bun and dress but a grotesque face. His work has been commissioned all over town at sites including Young at Art Museum, FATVillage, Respectable Street, and Broward College. In addition to his 2-D work, he's been experimenting with movable robot sculptures, like an "animatronic raccoon" and a "spaghetti mutant" with light-up devil eyes. WEBSITE > INSTAGRAM >

A mural located in the FATVillage™ Arts District, part of Fort Lauderdale's downtown historic warehouse district. Born in Boston Massachusetts, Paul is the son of two Haitian parents. He currently resides in South Florida where he was raised, and continues to make efforts towards his artistic endeavors. Aside from being inspired by the beauty of nature and the events in his life, Paul's first source of inspiration was his mother Paulette, who avidly painted while Paul was a child. He would transition from drawing his favorite cartoons to drawing more prominent figures in his life like his friends, family, and respected celebrities. After he graduated highschool in 2013 he felt the calling to treat his art more sensitively, and decided not only to exist as an artist, but to thrive as one. At this time Paul would begin creating under the moniker "P.Firmy"(would later change to KINI). Kini on IG > Kini Art Website > In today’s world, much of our reality is interpreted and reduced to two elements; color and shape. In my experience these are the most defining characteristics that help influence how we move and feel here on earth.  I want to communicate differently and emphasize these elements in a way that could reach the viewer on a spiritual level through bright, lively, colour palettes and organic, “flowy”  aesthetics. I incorporate this flow mindset throughout my entire creative process and I want to continue to use these elements as tools to further engage in a universal dialogue and bring people together.
