Visiting Artists talk with Carolyn Swiszcz

Girls’ Club announces a new Visiting Artist initiative for 2015, bringing contemporary artists from out-of-state to give public talks and lead artists workshops in downtown Fort Lauderdale.

Minnesota-based artist Carolyn Swiszcz will introduce her work and speak about her career, ongoing projects and creative processes. The public is invited to ask questions and engage in conversation. Working in paint, print making and more recently video and animation, Swiszcz skewers the mundane. Two works by Swiszcz are currently on exhibit at The Girls Club.

Swiszcz will also lead a workshop on Thursday, February 12th, where the participating artists will create their own mini panorama that will become a video masterpiece.
