ABOUT THE ARTIST:

Gregory Dirr, an interdisciplinary visual artist, is known for his whimsical yet classical paintings and murals that draw inspiration from fairy tales and the natural environment. His work often involves commissions for both public and private spaces. With a constant desire to explore and create, Dirr is passionate about experimenting with new materials and processes. As part of his residency, he intends to bring to life five large-scale pieces for his passion projects, which involve innovative and process-heavy techniques. The central theme of his planned work revolves around a visual narrative called The Big Book, which explores existential themes.
