Turkish puppeteer Ayhan Hulagu’s, mission is to bring Karagoz to the Unıted States. Join him this Thursday for an exclusive workshop showcasing this traditional exciting art form.
This is a unique, one of a kind, once in a lifetime, opportunity to experience this cultural heritage art from Turkey. Forget the English Punch and Judy, French Guignol, or the Russian Petrushka. Karagoz is the real antique, up to the minute, modern puppet sensation.

Karagöz is one of the most famous shadow theater plays in the world of puppetry. The puppets are made from camel or cowhide that is joined at the limbs for movement and played by a puppeteer known as a hayali. Karagöz is the main character of the play.
