Celebrating producers of local agriculture, we will create art that builds and deepens community ties increasing our awareness of the importance of nourishing heart, body and soul. With the recent resurgence of agriculture in our county, this is both timely and historically significant as this was a previously important industry that was almost eliminated due to development.
Public artist, Valerie J. Amor, is the recipient of a Community Arts Education Partnerships, CAEP grant. Intended to foster art education and strengthen community engagement, this project is supported in part by an award from the National Endowment for the Arts and by funding from the Broward County Board of County Commissioners as recommended by the Broward Cultural Council. Additionally, this project is supported by Growing Broward, a Broward County based organization promoting a sustainable local food system.
