Broward Centennial Habitat Gardens Project

Broward County has long supported the creation of wildlife habitat through its NatureScape Broward program. In celebration of Broward’s 100th Anniversary, NatureScape is partnering with the National Wildlife Federation and the Youth Environmental Alliance (YEA)to create or renovate 100 butterfly gardens at Broward County schools, parks, and other prominent places. Made possible by a grant from the Community Foundation of Broward, the Broward Centennial Habitat Gardens will provide that important connection between the critical need for native plants to prevent the continuing decline of the Monarch butterfly and other pollinator populations.
