This is it. This is the day that's so special for our young students. Costumes are arriving, with make up lessons soon to follow. Choreography is being finished, and cleaned up for the show. Pretty soon we'll come to the dress rehearsal, where we design the lighting, get all of our cues set for the big day, have the dancers feel their way on the stage.

Those things are all a lot of fun, but the best day is the day of their performance, when each student is a star. Those moments when time stands still for a few hours, and our proud young dancers show their family and friends what they've learned this year. The excitement backstage is palpable. The little ones are wiggling with joy, and after they come off of the stage, they always ask if they could do it again. They say "we were so good!" You can't imagine what the applause gives them! The older girls are gossiping with their friends, fixing their makeup, preparing for their fast changes, even a little more practice before they hit the stage.

Once those girls step onto the stage, they are transformed, and so are we. Those of us who get to enjoy their performance are enchanted with the dancers of every age, watching them grow up year after year. It's a magical day for all of us! Don't miss it, bring your friends and family to the show, and enjoy your magical children.
