Winter Dreams Winter Concert - Lyric Choir, Concert Choir, Chamber Singers

In December of 2014, The Girl Choir of South Florida will present “Winter Dreams”. Choristers from all five choirs will sing music that is traditional to the season, and which also highlights winter repertoire favorites from our first decade of music-making. Selections will include music for girls’ and women’s voices from the 15th century to the Modern era, and include the works of composers such as Hildegard von Bingen, J.S. Bach, Claude Debussy, Eleanor Daley, and Gwyneth Walker. Each ensemble will present seasonal selections, representing varied languages, traditions, and musical genres, as well as professionally choreographed modern works from jazz and musical theatre genres. Several works will include collaborations with other local instrumentalists and vocalists.
