Sunshine Jazz Month Concert: The Joey Gilmore Blues Legend Band

The Sunshine Jazz 36th Concert Season kicks off the New Year with the Real Deal –  “Bluesman” Joey Gilmore!  Gilmore is a true American electric blues and soul blues singer, award-winning songwriter, and top shelf guitarist. Originally from Ocala, FL. and self-taught on the guitar at an early age, Joey relocated to South Florida in the ’60s. He became a popular attraction which led him to accompany many touring blues, R&B and soul musicians, sharing the stage with James Brown, Etta James, Bobby Bland, Little Milton, among many others. Joey has recorded several albums, made the US Billboard R&B charts, toured and appeared at numerous blues, jazz and soul festivals including Montreux and Taiwan, and he continues to play that guitar like nobodies business!
