Museum of Discovery and Science Celebrates its 25th Anniversary

The Museum of Discovery and Science will celebrate its 25th Anniversary on Thanksgiving weekend, November 24-26, 2017 with special activities, prizes, science experiments and the opening of the 1992 Time Capsule.

Museum President/CEO stated, “We are very excited to celebrate the 25th Anniversary of the Museum of Discovery and Science. Over the past quarter century the Museum has provided experiential pathways to lifelong learning in science for children and adults through exhibits, programs and films. This celebration will highlight the continued development and growth of the Museum as we prepare to open our new science park in 2018. It’s time to celebrate the past, present and future of the Museum. Opening our time capsule from 1992 will help us recognize how far we’ve come and how much has changed in 25 years.”

Anniversary celebration activities include the opening of the 1992 Time Capsule on Friday, November 24, 2017 at 2 p.m. and filling a new time capsule for 2042! Guests can participate in STEM table tops containing a variety of simple, yet challenging, experiments to dazzle even the most scientific minds, turtle races, prizes, and more. Activities are included in the price of exhibits admission. Help us celebrate and enjoy cupcakes and hot dogs for the whole family.
