The well known South Florida based 25 year old non-profit organization Association of Performing Arts of India (APAI), is organizing a Hindustani vocal concert as well as an opportunity to learn either in a group setting or on an individual lesson basis from award winning Hindustani vocalist Shri Dhananjay Hegde in October, 2023. Shri Dhananjay Hegde is the disciple of the living legends Pandit Vinayak Torvi and Pandit Venkatesh Kumar and a winner of several prestigious awards. The upcoming concert in South Florida is sponsored by Dr. Prabha Murthy.

The Hindustani vocal concert featuring classical and semi-classical music by Shri Dhananjay Hegde accompanied on the harmonium by Shri. Dnyaneshwar Sonawane and Shri. Pranav Gurav on the tabla will be held on Sunday, October 8, 2023 at Palace India restaurant located at 11422 W State Rd 84,Davie, FL between 5pm and 9pm. All three artists trained by leading musicians from India have extensive concert performance experience at prestigious venues and music festivals, both in India and abroad. The concert including Indian dinner is priced at $60 per person for advance reservations and $70 per person at the door.

Shri Dhananjay Hegde will conduct a teaching session on Saturday, October 7 between 3pm and 5pm. Reservation will be on a first-come-first-served basis and by prior appointment. Cost for a two hour group lesson is $100. Cost for individual lesson for one hour is $100.
