Crossing Borders: Artists from the Middle East & the Americas

A selection of works by Ten Middle Eastern, European, Latin American, and American contemporary artists at NSU Cotilla Gallery in Fort Lauderdale, FL. Opening Reception: Thursday June 16 from 5-8pm. (Free Open to the Public)

The exhibition curated by artist Tony Khawam and featured works by artists from Israel, Syria, Turkey, Cuba, Colombia, Haiti, Russia, the UK, and Venezuela, share the art about their cultural history intertwined with the American experience, and the impact of their heritage, immigration, and the new American culture on their lives and art making. Cultural Events - NSU Cotilla Gallery in-person audience with Zoom and Live Streaming

Thursday June 30 (5:30 – 7:00pm) 4-5 Artists Talk moderated by a faculty expert with a presentation by Tony Khawam with a brief introduction of Crossing Borders project and a panel discussion.

Friday July 29 (5:30 – 7:00pm) A music performance by International crooner singer Matt Mardini with a presentation by Tony Khawam of the historical and famous international crooners from the US, Europe and the Middle East.
