Broward College Academy for Excellence (BCAE)-

This program is designed for First Time in College Students who will be attending Broward College in the Fall 2014 Semester. Students will be able to receive a “Jump Start” to college and receive six college credits when successfully completing the program. The dates are from June 30 – August 7, 2014. During the first two weeks, students will attend class from 9:00 – 4:30 p.m. and during the last four weeks from 9:00 – 12:00 p.m. Summer course work will focus on Strategies for College Success and Leadership. Students will also have the option of enrolling in College Readiness Start Smart Camps from 1:00 – 3:00 p.m. to improve their reading/ writing and/or math. Transportation will be provided, and lunch will be provided to all students during the first two weeks, as well as all students who participate in the Start Smart Camps. There will be no cost to participate; however, all students must complete a 2013-2014 FAFSA application for the Summer Semester. This program will be offered on the three main Broward College campuses and the Downtown Center. The program runs Monday through Thursday.
