79th Annual Orange Blossom Festival, Parade & Concert

Orange Blossom Kick Off Concert
*Friday, February 26, 2016*
Join us on February 26, 2016 from 6:00pm to 9:00pm for the Orange Blossom Kick Off Concert at the Old Davie School Historical Museum, 6650 Griffin Road, Davie. The Classic Rock band Rema Dee will be performing live starting at 6:30pm.  Admission is FREE and there will be Arts & Craft vendors, bounce house, petting farm and food trucks.  Food and beverages will be available for purchase throughout the evening.  So bring your blankets and chairs and enjoy an evening of music.

Festival Both Days
The festival will feature over 250 displays and will take place down Orange Drive from Davie Rd. west to SW 66th Terrace.  This portion of Orange Drive will be closed off during the festival.  Free activities for both days includes an arts & crafts show, fine arts show, musical entertainment, “Cowboy Town”, Native American display, animal farm, western carriage display, commerce corner, information displays and green product displays.  There will be a FREE concert on Saturday and Sunday!  There will also be a free kids’ corner that includes a bounce house, giant slide, rides and climbing wall.  Admission to the festival is FREE. Kiwanis Pancake Breakfast
On Saturday, beginning at 7:00am, there will be a Pancake Breakfast at the Davie Moose Lodge, 4483 Davie Rd, Davie, put on by the Kiwanis.  Pre-sale tickets are available at the Davie Town Hall, Special Events and Cultural Arts office for $5.00.
Strawberry Shortcake Festival
On Saturday and Sunday there will be an old fashioned Strawberry Festival at the Davie Woman’s Club located on Orange Drive, on the festival grounds.  Fresh strawberries and homemade shortcake will be served as well as other strawberry creations.

The parade will kick off at 10:00 a.m. and will proceed down Davie Road, between SW 39 Street, south to Orange Drive.
This Year’s Theme:  “Oldie and Goldies Blossom in Cowboy Town”
How to become an entry in the parade
All non-profit youth and adult groups, commercial and non-commercial businesses, musical marching and non-musical marching groups, and all school groups are invited to participate.  Click here for a Parade Application.  Awards will be presented after the parade in the different mentioned categories on the community stage.
