This position is responsible for the overall management of fundraising events and membership strategy events overseen by the Development & Marketing Department. Coordination includes managing logistics, sponsorships, solicitations, timelines, committees, acknowledgements and reports for all events as assigned.
Opportunity Description •Plan, organize, and manage all aspects of in-house and off-site fundraisinig events, including Fashion Show, Women of Vision and Signature Spring fundraiser, working closely with the Executive Director/CEO, Director of Development and all museum departments
•Work closely with the Executive Director/CEO to identify event committee members and provide support and information to these committee members.
•Prepare event sponsorship packages and lead the solicitation and securing of sponsorships
•Negotiate with restaurants, beverage distributors and other vendors for events and follow through on contract execution
•Prepare sponsor/vendor contracts, acknowledgements and reports
•Manage and maintain accurate records of registration, event logistics and invitation mail lists. Accurately record event related information in Altru database
•Plan, implement and manage the museum’s membership strategy to secure and retain members, including annual events, promotions and community partnerships
•Work with marketing staff to coordinate collateral materials, invitations, eblasts and social media related to fundraising events and membership
•Perform other related duties and responsibilities as required or as assigned to support the Development & Marketing Department
