    Welcome Back: Bonnet House Museum and Gardens is now open for self-guided tours Tuesday-Friday from 11AM- 3PM, and Saturdays and Sundays from 11AM- 4PM. Guided tours are also available on Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturdays from 9:30-11AM and will be limited to 10 people per tour. Become a member and receive significant discounts on classes, workshops, and special events as well as free admission to Bonnet House year-round. About Bonnet House Museum and Gardens: Designed and built by Frederic Clay Bartlett, Bonnet House is one of the few complete homes and studios of two American artists open to the public. Throughout the main house, you will see murals on the ceilings, faux marble on the walls and floors, and balustrades that are really paintings. Fish sculptures rise in the air, and shells have their own museum. The Bartletts' eclectic collections are also on display, everything from antique china to turn-of-the-century carousel animals.

    In the more than two decades since it opened in 1989, this 175.2-acre park has established itself as one of Broward County Parks' primary centers for athletic activity. This is only fitting for a park named after one of the top athletes in South Florida history. Perhaps surprisingly for such a busy park, it is also a site on the Great Florida Birding and Wildlife Trail.

    The Broward Art Guild is the oldest and largest organization of working artists in Broward County. Formed in the late 1940s, originally as a branch of the American Artists Professional League, the Guild later evolved into an independent, not-for-profit organization. During its first 30 years, the Guild operated with a volunteer staff of member artists and in 1986, engaged its first paid administrator. Since moving its gallery, school and offices to the downtown Fort Lauderdale area in 1987, the Guild has enjoyed an unprecedented growth in programs, membership and prestige.

    Welcome Back Broward:  The Broward Center for the Performing Arts is streaming shows suitable for all ages, including All Abilities Series: Dancing with TJ. The Broward Center has also scheduled live performances starting in November, starting with Justin Hayward Nights on November 9. The Broward Center will be following strict cleaning and COVID-19 safety guidelines, including requiring facial coverings for all staff and guests, enhanced cleaning and sanitizing, touchless experiences, increased ventilation and air filtration, and physical distancing of at least six feet. The Broward Center will also be performing daily health screenings and temperature checks for all staff, artists, crew, and volunteers. Its erection was made possible thanks to a generous donation from the Emil Buehler Trust. With its Zeiss M 1015 projector and its modern audiovisual equipment, this is one of the most advanced planetariums in South Florida.     Southwest Focal Point Community Center The Community Services Department of the Southwest Focal Point Community Center exists to provide a network of services for the community 18 years and older, who seek to participate in activities and programs that enhance quality of life and who desire opportunities for personal enrichment in a safe, enjoyable and professional environment. The SFPCC is centrally located in Pembroke Pines. Our 53,000 square foot facility offers a multitude of services geared to residents of southwest Broward County. The center includes an Adult Day Care program and is adjacent to our senior Housing complex. Other services provided at the center are Health Support and Nutrition. The Center also offers a plethora of activities and classes during the day and evening too. They include educational, recreational and professional training programs. Some examples are: Zumba, Yoga, Tai Chi, Ballroom dancing, Pottery, Flower arranging, art classes, painting classes, gym training, Camera club, Photography Courses, to name just a few. The SWFPCC is the site for many special city events including Flea Markets, Antique Shows, the Fall Arts & Craft Show, Annual Open House, Themed Tea parties and much more. Citizenship Classes are held at the S.W. Focal Point Community Center every Thursday morning from 9:30 am to 11:30 am. Membership All interested individuals ages 18 and over are encouraged to visit our beautiful community center located in the heart of Pembroke Pines. Social Services staff and volunteers are available to conduct facility tours. Upon registration, all members receive a membership card and monthly events calendar.

    This approximately 110-acre multipurpose facility is the first Broward County regional park to be acquired and developed through the Broward County Commission's 2000 Safe Parks and Land Preservation Bond Program, a historic measure that passed with 74 percent voter approval. The park is now the largest in the long-underserved central Broward County area and is designed to serve seven of the county's 31 municipalities: along with Lauderhill, Fort Lauderdale, Lauderdale Lakes, Oakland Park, Plantation, Sunrise, and Wilton Manors. The site is the only one in the region capable of hosting major cricket competitions, thanks to its state-of-the-art field house, 5,000 covered seats, and professionally maintained cricket pitch - the only cricket stadium in the United States certified by the International Cricket Council (ICC).
