You could be a poet! If you are intrigued by the storied art form of poetry and want to learn more about expressing yourself, then sign up for the free Lunch with Art– Poetry Edition at the Pompano Beach Cultural Center.
These monthly lunchtime gatherings are hosted by Sharonda “Eccentrich” Richardson, the #14 ranked female poet in the world! Expanding upon the success of the Lunch with Art visual programs at Bailey Contemporary Arts, the Pompano Beach Cultural Division is now offering this exciting new poetry version on the first Thursday of each month from 12:15-1:15 pm.

Each class will become a unique cultural experience immersing guests into the art form. Guests will listen to poems, learn about their varied structures, and be given tips and encouragement to begin creating their own verses! Genres that will be explored include 6-word poems, blackout poetry, bio poems, haikus, free verse and more.
About the City of Pompano Beach Cultural Affairs Department
The mission of the Cultural Affairs Department is to provide cultural programming that includes visual arts, digital media, music, film, theater, dance, and public art for the enjoyment and enrichment of residents and visitors to Pompano Beach, Broward County, and the greater South Florida area. The department programs and manages the City’s premiere cultural arts venues including the Pompano Beach Cultural Center, Historic Ali Cultural Arts, Bailey Contemporary Arts, Pompano Beach Amphitheater, and the Blanche Ely House.
