Lions Roar

On Monday, May 19, the Art and Culture Center of Hollywood will unveil Lions Roar, an exhibition presenting art by nearly all students in grades K through 5 at Ben Gamla Charter School in Hollywood. Under the supervision of Meet the Masters volunteer parents, this collection showcases approximately 440 student interpretations of master artists’ styles, comprised of painted murals, crayon, chalk, colored pencil drawings, and multimedia studies.

The pieces are on view through Thursday, May 29 in the Center’s upstairs Student Gallery space, located at 1650 Harrison St. The Student Gallery is presented in part by BBX Capital Foundation.

All public and private school teachers in Broward, Miami-Dade and Palm Beach counties are invited to exhibit student artwork during the school year using the Center’s state-of-the-art display system. Applications are approved on a first-come, first-serve basis and exhibition slots are limited.
