Broward Moments Lecture Series: WWII in Broward County and Florida

This lecture presented by Anthony D. Atwood, Ph.D. will focus on how the area became of major importance in the war effort and the resulting impact on development.

Broward Moments Lecture Series will address significant moments in the County’s 100 years history that have contributed to the rich culture, creative vitality, and economic growth of the area. The lecture series, as well as the corresponding print and online resources, provide an opportunity for long-time residents and newcomers to learn about Broward’s history; illustrate how that history has impacted the current state of affairs in the County; to engage audiences in discussions that will contribute to a shared sense of community going forward.
