This salon concert kicks off season two of Generation Venetian Arts Society Cafe Society Pride Series. This series celebrates members of the LGBTQA community and Artists whos life and work promote acceptance and inclusion.
Ms. Hampton Callaway, who is making her organizational debut on June 3, 2023 at the Sunshine Cathedral Performing Arts Center, is one of the leading champions of the great American Songbook and is well known for her warmth, spontaneous wit and passionate delivery of standards, jazz classics, and originals. Her unique singing style blends jazz and traditional pop, making her a mainstay in concert halls, theaters, and jazz clubs as well as in the recording studio, on television, and in film.

She has been a special guest performer with Wynton Marsalis and the Lincoln Center Jazz Orchestra, with Keith Lockhart and the Boston Pops at Symphony Hall and Tanglewood and is featured at many of the Carnegie Hall tributes. She has sung with more than thirty of the world’s top orchestras and big bands. She earned a Tony-nomination for her performance in the hit Broadway musical Swing! The program will include some of Ms. Hampton Callaway’s best known compositions and an interactive songwriting session with the artist.
