Broward County Scholastic Art & Writing Awards Exhibition

The Scholastic Art & Writing Awards is the largest source of scholarships for young artists and writers, and an exciting opportunity for middle and high school students around the country. This year Scholastic Art & Writing Awards celebrates it’s 100th year of supporting the future of creativity. Young At Art Museum has been partnering with the Alliance for Young Artists and Writers to showcase the Scholastic Art and Writing Awards to Broward County teens since 2014. Submissions are first judged regionally by a local panel of judges. All placing artists & writers have their works on display in the Broward Mall Gallery and Young At Art Museum’s Storefront Gallery Spaces.

For the 2024 season we are more than honored to exhibit the selected artworks in person at the Broward Mall Gallery and Young At Art Museum’s Storefront Gallery Spaces for everyone to witness the incredible talent of our Broward youth. This exhibition, as part of our commitment to the “young at heart”, hopefully will give spectators a very clear view that the future of art is in good hands. Considering the recent pandemic years, and the cultural context and social climate in which these artworks were created, they serve as a motivation and sign of hope to invest in our youth to keep the arts alive!
