Documenting Herstory: Women’s Perspectives on HIV/AIDS

Documenting Herstory: Women’s Perspectives on HIV/AIDS

Presented by World AIDS Museum at World AIDS Museum and Educational Center

In recognition of National Women and Girls HIV Awareness Day on March 10, the World AIDS Museum and Educational Center  with the support of the Broward County Cultural Division is hosting a town-hall style meeting via Zoom to get community input and perspective about what kinds of stories and content should we include in our exhibits and programs about women’s experience of HIV/AIDS. We’re starting with three panelists to begin our conversation: a historian who has written about women and HIV, a physician who has specialized in treating HIV in women and children; and a woman who is currently living with HIV. We want the community to help us build the exhibit to reflect their own interests and stories. We will be partnering with a number of women/girl-centered organizations and communities in this program.  Come join the conversation either in the Zoom room or on our Facebook page Live.
