The World AIDS Museum and Educational Center was founded in 2011 from an idea that grew out of the Fort Lauderdale-based group, Pozitive Attitudes, a topic driven support group for HIV positive individuals. Steve Stagon, the facilitator and Museum Founder, created and
collected historical HIV / AIDS exhibits for the support group. Over time, his collection was
displayed at local HIV / AIDS service organizations and at local schools. Recognizing the need to provide a permanent space for exhibits
