Not Your Average Theater Group

The Not Your Average Theater Group was formed by a group of like- minded people in 2019. Our mission is to produce high quality stage plays. While In the process, we want to provide opportunities for local playwrights, directors, actors, stage hands, and volunteers to come together with their special skills and talents culminating in stage productions for the viewing enjoyment of the audiences. We focus on providing senior citizens as well as people of all ages to participate. We produce shows because we love bringing the artistic community together so that we can all work together to create fabulous productions as well as providing entertainment to the community members at large. We produce plays because we believe in the value of the theater not only to entertain, but to enhance lives. We want to reach people who may still be feeling the psychological effects of the Covid-19 lockdown, in a post- covid world. We want to continue to combat these issues of loneliness and alienation with bringing people together who share a love and dedication to live theater whether as participants or theatergoers. Through our productions, the participants of all ages gain new skills, experience camaraderie, and friendships that last a lifetime. Additionally, we want to continue to provide opportunities for audiences to come together to attend live theater performances at very affordable prices. We make it a point to keep ticket prices low so people of all economic levels can afford to attend. We believe so much in the power of live theater to touch people’s lives that we continue to try to include as many people as possible in the process.
