About the film: Experience resilience through the perspective of a young girl in Pit Bulls and Piranhas. This short film set in the 1980s unfolds the transformative passage of a child into young womanhood, tackling themes of generational trauma, mental health, substance abuse, domestic violence, and the enduring resilience of the human spirit.

Envision a world where narratives possess the power to spark conversations, challenge perceptions, and instigate change. At the core of our creative pursuit, we aspire to craft such a story that transcends the screen, leaving a lasting impact on the lives and minds of our community. We are seeking funding to breathe life into a 15-minute short film, Pit Bulls and Piranhas, an enthralling piece serving as a proof of concept for an upcoming full-length trauma-drama feature. This feature aims to explore the untold stories of resilience in the face of adversity.
