PERFORMER BIO
Marlow Rosado: High-energy, eclectic and amped-up 2-time Grammy winner, artist, producer, songwriter; Marlow Rosado, has over two decades experience in the music industry. With two Grammys and eleven nominations under his belt, Marlow is undoubtedly a driving force in the Latin music industry and one of the leading components in the salsa scene.

The multi-instrumentalist Marlow Rosado leads a 12-piece orchestra and is owner of one of Miami’s leading recording studios where artists such as Elvis Crespo, Ricky Martin, El Gran Combo, Alejandra Guzman, Jon Secada and many others, have produced some of their top selling musical productions. Marlow Rosado has earned his place as one of today’s most recognized songwriters with over 70 songs recorded by some of the most notable names in Latin music, an achievement that earned him the “La Musa” award at the 2015 Latin Songwriters Hall of Fame.
Marlow Rosado was born in Puerto Rico and moved to Miami to attend Florida Atlantic University on a full paid scholarship where he earned his bachelor’s degree in Music Education. After Graduation, Marlow went on to work as a Music teacher for the Miami Dade County School Board where for ten years he dedicated his life to bringing quality music education to our school. These efforts earned him a 2014 proclamation by then superintendent of MDCPS Alberto M. Carvalho and made him the 2015 distinguished alumnus recipient for the Dorothy F. Schmidt College of Arts and Letters at FAU.

In 2009 made his debut album “Salsalsa” generated immediate attention in the Latin music community and got him signed to the legendary ‘Fania Records’, making him the first artist to be signed by the emblematic label in 18 years. In 2012 Marlow Rosado released his second and life-altering album entitled “RETRO”. This record surprised the entire Latin music industry when it won the 2012 American Grammy for “Best Tropical Latin Album” beating out Latin music’s giant Romeo Santos. Committed to moving forward quickly after the monumental success of “RETRO”, Marlow Rosado releases his 3rd production, “SALSANIMAL”. This album is a true image of Rosado’s forceful and passionate personality. With this production, the aggressive producer/songwriter shows us why he is “the heavy-metal band of salsa” a name given to him by the LA Times. Then album 4, the natural and unique record named “Harlow-Marlow” (2017). This collaboration with Salsa legend Larry Harlow made it to #7 on the Billboard Tropical Charts. Continuing on to his latest release of the 5th and very strong statement “FEMINOMANIA” A record that includes thirteen songs and twelve female vocalists. Here we have the collaboration of Rosado with female singers like Albita, Aymee Nuviola, Patty Padilla, Brenda K Starr, Carolina LaO to name a few. While 2020 has been a year of change for most, this holds true for Marlow Rosado who for the first time was able to produce two full albums. His 6th salsa album titled “LOS COLORES DE LA SALSA” and his 1st Latin Jazz album titled “ORUN” are set to be released February 2021 by the classic indie record label JN Records.

He is continually sought-after by renowned artists in different Latin genres for his musical arrangement skills, aggressive montunos on the piano, as well as his ability to write, produce and direct hits in a variety of musical styles. From the driving rock-tracks co-written on Alejandra Guzman’s “Lipstick” album (nominated for Best Rock Album of the Year by both the American and Latin Grammys), to the emotionally charged Yolandita Monge’s production “SENTIMIENTO BORINQUEÑO”, as well as works with Elvis Crespo, Hector Acosta, and Puerto Rican Power, are a true showcase of Marlow’s creative elements. Marlow has had the pleasure of working with the iconic and legendary Celia Cruz, the unforgettable Tejana singer Selena, Marc Anthony, Maluma, Ricky Martin, Ricardo Montaner, Gilberto Santa Rosa, Olga Tañón, Tito Puentes Jr, Tito Nieves, Desmond Child, Rudy Perez, and many, others, but when you ask Rosado what is his most unforgettable moment as a producer, he quickly and without hesitation says “Producing a Christmas track on Idina Menzel’s 2019 Christmas album, yes… Idina Menzel.

Throughout the last ten years, Marlow has been performing nationally and internationally (Japan, Turkey, Greece, Spain, Italy, Nepal). He is an ambassador for brands such as T-Mobile, Samsung, Spirit Airlines and Elephant Tea. His passion to give to those in need has led him on a crusade of continuous charity work in Haiti, Guatemala, Nepal, and Peru by collecting and shipping tons of perishable items, clothing and medical products to these countries. Numerous media articles have been written on him throughout the years. From notable sources like the LA Times, Billboards, Peoples Magazine, Huffington Post, Miami Herald and many more. When asked about future goals, his answer is “To simply keep up with the ever-changing world of music so that I can do this till I take my last breath”.
