Get your paws ready! The VCA Walk for the Animals is happening on Saturday, March 4, 2023. This highly anticipated event is celebrating 33 years of animal lovers coming together to support the Humane Society of Broward County. After many amazing years at Huizenga Park, the event is moving to a NEW location near Fort Lauderdale Beach. The VCA Walk for the Animals will be held at the beautiful Las Olas Intracoastal Promenade Park. With a magnificent view of the ocean and refreshing sea breeze, we are looking forward to this new location.

The one-mile walk is accompanied by vendor booths, entertainment, prizes and more. Walk participants who gather donations will receive gifts for different fund-raising levels reached starting at $150 which will earn you the official Walk t-shirt. For those who raise $1,000 or more your dog will be entered into a contest for a chance to be the 2024 Walk Cover Dog. The 2023 Cover Dog is Sparty who resides in Weston with his human parents Amy and Tenney McGraw.

Registration is open at Walk4theAnimals.com.  You can choose to register either as an individual walker or have fun raising money as a team by creating a Pack. Once registered, you can customize your own fundraising page and ask family, friends, and co-workers to join you or donate and post on social media, all with the click of a button.
