Anyone Can Act!
Ages 18 and Up
Anyone Can Act is brought to you by ActBroward.org a 501(c)(3) nonprofit dedicated to supporting local actors & filmmakers.
Taught by ActBroward’s Director, Ed Casas, who has appeared on film & stage with over 25 years of experience in the South Florida film industry.
Students will engage their imagination, hone their improvisational skills, and learn real world applicable skills that will allow them to build characters, understand scripts and the underlying motives & objectives of characters, and leave the class with a monologue they can use for auditions. Students will work with others in duet-scenes where they will build listening skills and learn the collaborative aspects of acting.
Class will include elements of Constantin Stanislavski’s works and acting teachers that followed, like Lee Strasberg, Sandford Meisner, and Uta Hagen, as well as Mr. Casas’ own tools & hacks that have allowed him to book roles in professional productions.
Class will conclude with a Monologue & Duet Acting Showcase where actors will perform for friends and family.
