Walk on 13 is a community art walk presented by South Florida Lending Hands. The event is scheduled to take place the second Saturday of the month in Fort Lauderdale Central City along NE 13 Street. Our next event is scheduled to take place on Saturday, January 14th from 1-5 pm.  We are inviting artists from far and near to participate. Each artist can set up their booth (10'x10' tent) in one of our available spaces. Artists may also choose to show their artwork on an easel (max 48x48") in one of the participating business pop-up galleries. In addition, we are also welcoming live performances, musicians, poetry, and live artist, as well as kids' art events.

On January 14th art walk will be hosting a Sip & Paint at Gulfstream Brewery. This step-by-step painting session is open to everyone even if you had never painted before. The class will be led by Connie McKnight. She is a local artist, school teacher, and community activist. Tickets are available at www.artthirteen.com/sip-paint. Our goal is to enrich our up-and-coming neighborhood with arts and culture, give new emerging artists as well as those well-established a new platform to shine with their artwork as well as to work together with local businesses and other nonprofit organizations.
