Flamingo Gardens November Sunday Concert Series

Presented by Flamingo Gardens and Broward Cultural Division at Flamingo Gardens

Enjoy music from a variety of genres each Sunday afternoon in November at Flamingo Gardens. Bring a lawn chair or comfy blanket and enjoy snacks available for purchase at the Flamingo Café and Flamingo Grill, while listening to toe-tapping tunes.

Guests may also enjoy viewing America’s Everglades: Through the Lens of Clyde Butcher which will be on display in the Gallery at Flamingo Gardens from October 1 - December 31, 2022. With his century-old camera, Clyde Butcher has been exploring and documenting the Everglades for decades. The result is a stunning collection of large-format black-and-white photographs that capture untouched parts of the nation’s largest subtropical wilderness.

November Sunday Concert Series Performances by:

November 6: Rootz of Music Eugene Grey has toured worldwide playing Jamaican Jazz as lead guitarist with such artists as Grammy Award winners Burning Spear and Toots and the Maytals, and Kid Creole and the Coconuts. In addition to performing, Eugene conducts music workshops as part of his nonprofit Rootz of Music, Inc., providing music education and cultural enrichment performances to youth in under-served communities.
November 13: Sawgrass Brass Ensemble These five professional brass players hailing from all parts of south Florida and have been performing together for the past five years. Their programs span the spectrum from Showtunes to pop, jazz to patriotic.
November 20: Uproot Hootenanny This four-piece band features some of South Florida’s top string instrument players. From bluegrass to Irish-folksy vibes, Uproot Hootenanny has that certain string band charm that has all ages leaving with a smile.
November 27: Broward College Big Band & Jazz Combo are an 18-piece jazz ensemble. They pull their inspiration from swing and blues and play classics by legendary composers like Duke Ellington and Count Basie.

Admission:

$21.95 for ages 12+,
$15.95 for ages 3-11,
Flamingo Gardens members and children 2 or younger are admitted free.

Flamingo Gardens is located at 3750 South Flamingo Road in Davie, FL 33330.
