About Edie: Edie Polly Kobrin was born in New York and currently resides in Cooper City, Florida. Many new artists have emerged as a result of the pandemic, and she is no exception to that. With the encouragement of her children, and a surprise package arriving at her doorstep containing an easel, a canvas, and paints, coupled with a note saying, “Paint trolls mama, paint!” her painting journey began. Her children and the world around her serve as her inspiration, reflecting the many feelings and emotions she experienced during this period of time, be it, fear, confusion, helplessness, loneliness, triumph, and gratitude! As she painted, she began to feel a sense solace. This has now become a newfound passion which arose within her soul each time she put a paintbrush to the canvas! Her paintings have been evolving through this tumultuous period and are a true expression of what she feels and who she is as a person and as an artist. With the vibrant colors and emotional expressions, she hopes that you will connect with her artwork either for her color palette choices themselves or connect emotionally and spiritually.
