About Rory: Born to a wheat farmer and a one-room schoolhouse teacher, Rory grew up in North Dakota and is the youngest of 10 children. A proud graduate of North Dakota State University (Go Bison!!), Rory started his career as a Medical Laboratory Scientist in the early 90s. In the early 2000s, Rory began teaching Medical Laboratory Science courses at the university level. Today, he works as a curriculum writer for a Georgia-based company that provides resources to medical laboratory professionals.

Rory has always been interested in art. His passion for fluid art began in 2018 when he discovered an artist from the Netherlands who created a technique called the ‘Dutch Pour’. Shortly after, Rory began experimenting with the Dutch Pour and other fluid art techniques. “What I love about fluid art is it allows me to combine my love for science and experimenting with art and vibrant colors”.
