DAVID JULIA & HIS BIG BAD BAND

DAVID JULIA & HIS BIG BAD BAND

Presented by Creative City Collaborative @ Arts Garage at Arts Garage

A young man with serious ambitions. David Julia is quickly becoming a Blues master. Some consider him to be a guitar prodigy as he delivers “smokin’ spot-on lightning licks with killer grooves and rich vocals.” Not quite out of his teen years yet, but David has already had the honor of sharing the stage with JP Soars, Albert Castiglia, Victor Wainwright, Terry Hanck, Tom Hambridge, Selwyn Birchwood, Butch Trucks, Jarekus Singelton, Bob Margolin, and Tommy Castro.

PERFORMER BIODavid Julia is a guitarist, singer-songwriter, and entertainer from Central Florida. He began his professional career playing at his hometown Italian restaurant at only ten years old. By 13, David was playing the Blues all over the state of Florida. From regionally touring to competing and performing in the Memphis-based Blues Foundations International Blues Challenge four years in a row, David Julia is an up and coming force in the country’s Blues scene. David released his EP, Simple Things, in 2016, consisting of four original works and one cover. His first album, Inspired, produced by Mike Zito and released on the VizzTone Record label, debuted in 2018. The title “Inspired” is paying tribute to the Blues masters whose recordings he has learned from. David has been personally touched by the current generation of musicians who have taught, befriended, encouraged, and helped him along the way. He credits his success to the unwavering support of his family, and thanks them for always pushing him to follow his passion.
