Artists and creative entrepreneurs are invited to attend a Business Plan Clinic and Workshop on June 25, 2022, from 9 AM - 5 PM at Florida Atlantic University - Davie Campus, Liberal Arts Building, (behind the Student Union) Room L – 124 at 3200 College Avenue, Davie, FL 33317.

Attend this workshop and learn how to pitch to and work with lenders for financial support. Conducted by the Florida SBDC Florida Atlantic University Division of Research, this clinic invites Institute attendees to submit business plans for inclusion in the clinic's review.

The Business Plan Clinic, presented by Broward Cultural Division, the Florida SBDC Florida Atlantic University Division of Research will guide participants through the process of producing a simple business plan, an essential tool for any artist. The Clinic will be facilitated by George Gadson and Rafael Cruz, both with the Small Business Development Center.

Participants will have the opportunity to network with past alumni of the Institute. In addition, Keith Costello, President and CEO of Locality Bank, will discuss how to work effectively with lenders, and Jessie Prugh and Angela Yungk, Founders of Creative Futurist, will present a lecture on Developing a Brand for Artists. A session on Raising Capital and Resources for artists will be taught by Luz Rodriguez with Visionary Allies, LLC.

This event is open to all artists and creative entrepreneurs. Attendance at the workshop is also highly recommended for artists and alumni of the Institute.
