This work makes reference to Puerto Rico and the world during the time period 1950 and 1984. It serves as a historical document for new generations to get to know their country as well as the world in which their parents, grandparents and great grandparents grew, and also to learn about the worldviews prevalent in the various settings wherein the play unfolds. An excellent example of this reality, a national classic of universal scope that transcends time. Quintuplets is the most viewed theater work around the world written by a Puerto Rican playwright who resides in Puerto Rico.
