Enjoy a free on-stage performance by actor Rob Alvey in Mark Twain Back Again presented Sat. June 18 starting at 7PM at Elliott Hall adjacent to the UCCFL church at 2501 NE 30th Street, Fort Lauderdale. The only request is to please make a voluntary donation to support the national church's efforts to benefit Ukraine. You will enjoy hearing Mark Twain speak about his life as America's first humorist, writer, and reporter. Be the first at actually hear Mark Twain say many of the sayings attributed to him that he had never actually said in his lifetime.
Rob Alvey is Mark Twain with a strong physical resemblance, comfort in wearing a white suit and smoking a cigar. He has been told by the great impersonator Hal Holbrook that he resembles ark Twain more than Holbrook himself. Alvey has provided Mark Twain on stage for almost 15 years and has performed at the historic Friar's Club in NYC, on Broadway, at Piper's Playhouse in Virginia City, as well as on a Mississippi Riverboat in addition to many performances in NY. He was featured as Mark Twain in the original production of Twain and Tesla- Annihilating the Distance. Alvey is also the author of "Catching Twainitis Syndrome" about his humorous experiences as Twain, and his new book, "The Rulebook for Perfect Daddyhood".
