Umoja Cypher Sessions is a monthly gathering where participants will explore pertinent social issues through creative expression and community-building. Each session will feature live performance and open discussion centered on matters such as mass incarceration, gentrification and climate change and an artist-led art-making component for community members.
As we celebrate Women's History Month, this month's session will feature electric performances by local female artists, a discussion centered on pertinent issues, including the portrayal of women in the media and how this impacts the youth and society as a whole. Participants will also be led an a low impact/high energy dance workshop.
