The 16th Annual Coral Springs Festival of the Arts showcases a weekend of multiple art forms including not only a 200 participant art show, musical performances, performing arts including multicultural groups, a children's area with puppet show, and a literary venue.  This year's festival's music schedule includes The Steve Pomeranz Band playing soft rock and jazz, Shadow Creek's classic rock, The Tina Turner Tribute Show, The Last Flight Out Big Band featuring the 40s and 50s, Whiskey Six Country Music, and The Copacabana Review with Latin American music.  Performing arts will feature Irish dance,  The Tama Leaos Polynesian Show, South Florida Jubilee Chorus, Oceanik Steel Drums, Marinera En El Mundo Florida-a Peruvian dance group, Ronin Taiko Drummers, American Dances (a social history of American dance) presented by The Debra Weiss Dance Company, and the Gold Coast Banjo Band.

On Friday come participate in—or just enjoy—a very special evening with Dr. Caren Neile, NPR’s Public Storyteller and Gayle Ross an enrolled member of the Cherokee Nation and a direct descendant of John Ross, Principal Chief of the Cherokee during the infamous “Trail of Tears”. Her grandmother told stories and it is from this rich Native American heritage that Gayle’s storytelling springs.  Gayle Ross is nationally renown and has performed both at the White House and the Kennedy Center. Participants who attend will be eligible to enter a storytelling competition held on Saturday at the festival to win a cash prize.
