"BERTS BIG BED" This is a gay comedy about sexy Bert who meets Tim in The San Francisco Eagle one night and they become friends. Tim and Mark are having some troubles in their relationship. In the leather bar Tim has some big news to tell his partner Mark and Bert helps him break the bad news in a Cyrano DE Bergerac way ! A sexy and fun comedy.
This comedy was originally produced in 1991 and ran in San Francisco for 6 months, later on had regional productions in Chicago, Dallas and Orlando. In the play Tim gets his test results that he is HIV positive. back 30 years ago HIV was considered a death sentence. Today HIV has changed over 30 years and this revised version of the play shows Tim understanding his HIV and his partner getting on PrEP. Telling someone you are HIV positive is not easy and in this play we find a fun and sexy way to present it. This will be a 2 night only staged reading presentation of the newly revised comedy. A full production will follow this summer.
