The Art and Culture Center/Hollywood invites you to join author, oral historian, media producer, and recording artist Dr. Kitty Oliver for a thought-provoking, entertaining evening of historical storytelling, research, and music looking at the complexities of race relations in the U.S. from a variety of cultural perspectives. .
Race and Change Across Cultures and Generations - New Narratives for Our Times will also feature a Race and Change Intergenerational Chat with special guest, community historian, Emmanuel George exploring what elders and younger people can teach and learn from each other as social justice activists today.
Dr. Oliver is an Encore Public Voices Fellow who shares her Race and Change work with audiences internationally. Mr. George has been named a 2021-2022 Encore Gen2Gen Innovation Fellow, an award recognizing pragmatic visionaries in communities around the U.S.
