Join us for our opening night festival concert – a celebration of Cuban heritage! From Moises Simon to Benny More and many more featured surprises including the orchestral world premiere of Ernesto Lecuona\'s Rumba-Rhapsody, get ready for an evening filled with the classical and unmistakable rhythms of Cuba featuring the FIU Symphony Orchestra, joined by pianist Tomas Y. Tirino, the FIU Concert Choir, the FIU University Singers, the Miami Children\'s Chorus and more!

ORCHESTRAL WORLD PREMIERE of Ernesto Lecuona\'s Rumba-Rhapsody. Performed by the Conductor Javier Jose Mendoza, Pianist Tomas Y. Tirino, the FIU Symphony Orchestra, and the FIU Concert Choir. Thomas Y. Tirino is considered the leading authority and interpreter of the music of Ernesto Lecuona, and a major exponent of Spanish/Latin American music.
