Umoja Cypher Sessions

Umoja Cypher Sessions

Presented by Art Prevails Project - a creative collective at Old Dillard Foundation Arts and Heritage House

Umoja Cypher Sessions is a monthly gathering where participants will explore pertinent social issues through creative expression and community-building. Each session will feature a live performance and open discussion centered on matters such as mass incarceration, gentrification, and climate change and an artist-led art-making component for community members.
Join us for a timely and important conversation around the state of immigration in the U.S. and how that affects us all, regardless of background or ethnicity.
Our expert panelists dedicate endless efforts to fight for the rights and dignity of all, especially Haitian and Haitian-Americans.
Also, the amazing Inez Barlatier will dazzle with performance and you’ll be led in a Haitian Folkloric dance by NSL Dance Ensemble.
Social distancing and will be observed. Please wear masks.
