4 week course meeting once a week on Thursdays, 6-9pm

Week 2: October 14th
Week 3: October 21st
Week 4: October 28th

This is a four week course, meeting once a week is designed to introduce the basic principles of linoleum, drypoint and monotype printing. Students will create their own imagery for each process and learn how to edition prints on an etching press.

Students will get a sense of how it feels to work in a communal space surrounded by artists with similar interests and receive critical feedback to develop their work. Students will also learn how to use and respect a large fine art press. Students will leave the class with a working knowledge of shop etiquette and printing techniques as well as a small portfolio of prints and their own plates.

This class will certify you to reserve and use our etching press during open studio hours.
