Join the cast of Power Game: A Reggae Musical as they come together to present a unique hybrid Reader's Theater presentation of this classic story about a young woman’s passion and determination to defeat the odds and pursue her love for music during a climate of political and social unrest in 70s era Jamaica. Reggae, Ska, Rasta heartbeat rhythms pulsate, experience the intensity of Jamaican musical culture and the vibrancy of its rhythms with a group of talented actors, musicians and singers, who will weave this story with a Reggae thread. The event is a hybrid of videos recorded by the actors and livestreaming of Reader's Theater.

Power Game is directed by Malachi Smith, world renowned Dub Poet and writer, along with Jamaican musical genius Pablove Black musical director and performances from SASA African Dance Theater. The cast also features Elvis Morris,  Maxine Osbourne, Oliver Davis, Leonard Conway, Corlene Fraser, Shemana Dixon, Empress Unique, and Lucette Romelus. Book and music by Ettosi Brooks, much of whose work is influenced by Cedric Im Brooks formerly of the Skatalites band and Light of Saba. Power Game – A Reggae Musical is presented by Women in Music Ayo.
