A concert about the Holocaust in partnership with the Holocaust Documentation and Education Center of Dania Beach with live survivor stories.
Program 4: Only the Butterflies are Free tells the story of the Holocaust through live survivor stories with music written or performed in the camps, including Brundibar, Moor Soldaten, Buchenwald, works by Chopin and Wallfisch, whose grandmother was a musician at Auschwitz, and Plegaria, the tango of death. Includes a new work by award winning film composer Ros Gilman.
