The Mark Zaleski Band will be performing September 25th at 8pm at the Arts Garage!
The Mark Zaleski Band’s return to Arts Garage coincides with the timing of their new release on Origin Records “Our Time: Re-imaginations of Dave Brubeck”.
Their March 2018 CD release event for “Days, Months, Years” was well received to a full house in Delray Beach, they expect their one-of-a-kind Dave Brubeck show to do at least that well!
For this special event, they will play all Dave Brubeck compositions, but they will be re-imagined in the modern, high-energy, jazz/rock fusion style of the Mark Zaleski Band. Mark is in a unique position to put on such a show as he was the first alto saxophonist to be selected for the Dave Brubeck Institute Fellowship program in 2003. It was there where he got to know Dave and performed with him on several occasions.
They hope to perform modern versions of Brubeck classics like “Blue Rondo a la Turk”, “Unsquare Dance”, “The Duke”, “Theme From Mr. Broadway”, and more!
