Theatre workshop and Community Forum on Soical Justice
Inside Out Theatre and Renegade Theatre Company are partnering a year-long, county wide arts engagement project on social justice. The project, implemented in three phases includes theatre workshops and community forums, a podcast channel with community leaders and residents and the creation and performance of an original show by Broward County residents. Currently in Phase 1 of the project, community forums are being held in various locations in order to amplify the voice of Broward residents and share personal stories in an effort to eliminate biases and prejudices and build empathy.
Support has been provided by the following Funds at The Community Foundation of Broward: John D. Ryan Fund, Harold D. Franks Fund, David and Francie Horvitz Family Fund, Mary N. Porter Community Impact Fund.
Admission is free, however participants must register by either emailing: amplifyvoices4change@gmail.com or texting 954-249-1380. Limited to 10 participants. Each participant receives a $10 gift card.
