An Artist-Mother's Journey: Jill Lavetsky

Followed by a block print technique demonstration by the artist.

Jill Lavetsky is a visual artist and educator based in Lake Worth, FL whose practice focuses on drawing, painting, printmaking, and collage. She received a Master’s degree in Painting from Florida Atlantic University in 2013, and has taught college, K-12 through community outreach, as well as incarcerated women. She produced a book called “Days With Rae: A Visual Journal of Early Motherhood”, which is a compilation of her watercolor paintings from when her daughter was an infant. She has been awarded several artist residencies, including in Ireland and Wyoming, and has been featured in exhibitions such as the Florida Invitational at the Boca Raton Museum of Art, and Drawn at the Manifest Gallery in Cincinnati, Ohio.
