2-Day Live Virtual Photography Workshop with NSU Art Museum

Presented by NSU Art Museum Fort Lauderdale at Online/Virtual Space

In this two-part virtual workshop, Mark Hedden, one of the featured artists in the current exhibition New Art South Florida, will introduce participants to The Photographer’s Playbook (Aperture Foundation.) Designed to change the way you think about your photography, The Photographer’s Playbook features assignments, as well as ideas and anecdotes from many of the world's most talented photographers. The workshop will use this book as a text and include a series of participatory assignments. An introductory assignment will be emailed to participants one week prior to the first workshop. Any type of camera, from iPhone to top-end DSLR, can be used.

Mark Hedden is a Key West-based writer and photographer whose photography encompasses street, documentary, wildlife, experimental and other disciplines. His work has appeared in The New York Times, Key West Citizen, Roads & Kingdoms, People, The Guardian and on CNN. He has received grants from the Anne McKee Fund, the Knight Foundation and most recently, the 2020 South Florida Cultural Consortium Visual and Media Artists Award. www.markhedden.com
